Screen Sizing Issue
So I've noticed that on my OLED, the game renders in a small box, even when the "Maximize Screen" box is ticked in the game settings. It's just in a larger "Small box" with that ticked - one that takes up about 60% of the screen.

I'd figured that's just how the game is - until I loaded the game up on my other machine, on a Dell 1440p monitor. There, it's proper 4:3 scale and considerably better - filling up the entire screen vertically and with two black bars on the sides. So obviously this is an issue on the OLED. I've tried different resolutions (4K, 1440p, 1080p, 720p) with no change - the game is still just in a "box" no matter what I do.

Perhaps it has something to do with multi-monitor - I am using the "split HDMI" method to send audio to a sound system on the big screen, and am thus using "two screens" in Windows.

Will post screenshots if I can figure out how to do it - the Steam Overlay does not work for me in this game, so I had to capture them through Windows.

Having the same issue. Was tempted to just work through it, but it's REALLY interfering with fielding.

I'm trying to post screenshots, but I can't get the Steam Overlay to work in this game at all.

Double checked and everything is enabled/forced on for this game specifically - no dice.

This is something else that likely needs to be addressed.

I'm pretty sure the game will only scale itself to an integer multiple of 640x480 - a common resolution at the time the game was originally released, and not really possible to work around in the engine. 1440p is a direct multiple of 480 (3x), so it scales to full height on that monitor; but otherwise it will only multiply to the largest multiple of 640x480 that it can fit on the screen, without cutting anything off.

I was having the same issue. I was able to fix it by pressing the space bar while gaming is running and hit expand screen.

For me it doesn't work because the 'expand screen' option is already checked. Does anybody know a way around that?

Experiencing the same issue, running a similar setup (multiple monitors, one for sound output and one for video). Tried forcing scaling options through the GPU but no luck. Is there any way in the config files to set a custom output resolution for this game?

Edit: If you force 640x480 resolution in the executable's compatibility settings, it accomplishes the desired goal of it filling the screen and then only having black vertical bars. Much larger than the default "expand screen" option in the menu.
