Can't access Factory Manfacturing area

Hi guys,

After finishing the factory mission, then I went to Front Base and killed Macil, took the 4th Sigil piece from him... and went back to factory so I can access the labs...

Except that I can't find a way to it... looks like the door which leads to Factory Manfacturing didn't unlock, same thing with alternative route through the Catacombs.

Help!

Unless it's a problematic bug, I remember getting stuck in the game similarly in a few places during many of my playthroughs. Should check it.

I think this is a bug... I vaguely remember something similar in happening in the original strife

Yep I thought so... is there a workaround using console commands?

Not really... as the level loads when you go through the door and the only way through is noclipping though which will fail to trigger the load.

Damn it... :(

This is my 4th playthrough in Strife, each time I can't finish the game because of such bugs!

Can you rewrite how this happened. Not that I remember the particulars, but I'm eager to check if I can figure this out myself.

Well I was working toward the 'good ending'.

So... Spoiler alert!

1. Did Rowan's mission + Harris mission
2. Joined the rebels, Macil send me to the mayor.
3. Because of Harris, the Mayor send me to the interogation room (the one where you start the game). I get back to him after escaping and talked with him like nothing happened!
4. Did the Mayor's 'messy chore'.
5. Went to the prison to free the captured rebels.
6. Attacked the castle, did the optional training, killed the programmer, got the 1st sigil piece.
7. Went to the Oracle. Told me to kill the Bishop.
8. Killed the Bishop, got 2nd piece from him. Also I went to get the Mauler
9. Back to the Oracle, whom told me that Macil has the 3rd Sigil piece, went back to Macil and he said the he is no traitor and I need to kill the Oracle, went to the Oracle again and killed it. Got the 3rd piece.
10. Went to the Catacombs to get the key to the factory, killed a Spectre there.
11. Then I went to the mines to get some ore, freed the workers on my way.
12. Went to factory, and shut down the converter to free the prisonsers.
13. Macil goes nuts, went back to the base, killed him, got 4th piece.
14. back to the factory, can't access the labs!

I probably screwed up where I accessed the Factory from the Commons area, not from the mines. It triggered every Order troop against me in the Commons...

Try walking from the entrance to Factory: Receiving towards the Mines, which are to the right if you entered Receiving from the Order Commons. The trigger to open the gate to Factory: Manufacturing is over there, for some reason. We forgot to "adjust" this to be more intuitive.

For any future people coming here: the way I did this was by going to the crusader-filled area in factory:receiving. At the back of it is a shallow moat and a few boxes/pipes. On one of those is a valve which, if turned, lowers the water in the moat. If you follow the moat you will eventually get behind the closed gate, where you can open it from the back.
