I really love that you're paying attention to player input and it's having immediate effect. I do love both your games so far, although I haven't yet completed NSiR due to real life constraints and also restarting multiple times to try to get better results, which is partially due to the design of the game without meta progression.
I will definitely say that replaying the game with more knowledge of how things work after a few playthroughs leads to better results, but I had felt that they were lacking in the sense of creating a godmode playthrough where you can just beat every stat check and also dominate battles. I've seen that some of the patch notes address not the meta progression, but in a sense make it easier to understand how the game is played while also making it *slightly* easier. I would not be lying if I said this game seems much harder at a first glance than ALL did.
I am still very much looking forward to the rest of the chapters, and I agree with your statement regarding meta progression that it's something that can be left to the end of development if enough people clamour for it, but I do believe they will, as I myself would greatly welcome it's reintroduction to your Roman Games series.
