To clarify is it that you dont feel they have anything good to say? or is it unreadable as it you cant make out the letters?

This is caused by a missing font on your computer if you go to: Control Panel > Clock, Language and Region and under Language choose add another language. Installing Japanese there added the supplemental fonts for me.

By installing that it should fix the unreadable fonts.

how do you do that

From Control Panel if you are in category mode it should look like this: https://www.dropbox.com/s/8wyn0tfd4qogqnh/supplemental_fonts.png?dl=0

click on "add a language" under the clock, language, and region section.

you will have the ability to select japanese from there and it will install the supplemental font.
