Control issues.

So, I have searched here, found only a very small handful of similar and tried these suggestions with no luck. Every time I open up the game, I can't use the up or left arrow keys, the cursor freaks out until I hit down or right, and after that, nothing. Got to the point of the game where you can move, but the game forces my character up and left, to which I can't control. Game became unplayable because of this. Tried running as admin, reinstalling, clearing cache. Everything. Tried placing my keyboard in a different USB. Not sure what else to do here.
