Is the resolution actually only 640 x 480 (similar to other jrpg)?

When I first start the game a pop up screen launches saying launch game, manual, etc in a small window. So I launch the game and it starts in the same small window. I remember that when you hit alt-enter it will go full screen, but it is just stretching the entire screen to widescreen and it looks low resolution. Is that the way it is supposed to be? I am just making sure. I get an error with several ??? when I try to start the game and I change it to full screen in the menu window without entering alt-enter. This is just for the demo, which I prefer to play to see if I like the game. But before I spend the 4.99 sale price, can someone please help me answer these questions and concerns? Thank you.

You are correct in that the resolution is fixed and that it is just stretching when you go to full screen with alt-enter.

As for the error you get for the demo, am I correct in saying that it only happens when the fullscreen button is set before lauching?

That is correct. My last comment is I am deciding this is not the game for me. The graphics are not good in full screen, and really take away from playing. I just cannot endorse it. Sorry.
