toasttime.exe has been stopped working - crash on startup

Hello. I am using windows vista 64 bit, GTX 660 and i7 920. Toast Time just crashes on startup with windows error. What can I do?

Sorry to hear that. Does the game give you any specific text in the error message?

Thanks for reply. No, there is no error or anything. It closes immediately when i try to launch the game. Is there any error logs implemented?

Ok, I have tried to verify and uninstalled in case I am missing something. Sadly, none of them worked. This error is keep poping up and nothing has been changed.

Sadly I can't read Japanese! I've pushed an update which includes a run-debug.bat file next to toasttime.exe in your Steam games/Toast Time directory. If you run this and paste back the output of stdout.txt and stderr.txt this will help massively. Thanks!

The error window is nothing fancy. It tells you toasttime.exe has been stopped working, you can search the solution online and so on. It is rather ordinary error window which appears if your application crashes upon launch.

Bah, I have tried run the bat file, but it says "procedure entry point not found from USER32.dll". No log files could be made at all because it simply cannot run at all. I must have corrupted USER32.dll, right?

If so, this is caused not Toast Time side but my USER32.dll is either using 32 bit version ones or just corrupted I assume. You cannot do much for this, can you?

For your information, my gf tried to install Toast Time if it can run on her PC japanese version windows 7 installed. Worked smoothly without any problem. We, japanese, are tend to use japanese font as windows user name causing a lot of errors for gaming but it was not case even.

So, the problem must be my USER32.dll located inside Windows/System32 folder...

It does seem that your USER32.dll is corrupted, but it's hard to tell. There are various repair tools you can look into. Do you have Windows Vista SP2 (Service Pack 2) installed?

I just now attempted to run Toasttime for the first time and also have received a consistent crash on startup. I have Windows 7 64 bit SP1.

Having same problem. Bought it in the humble bundle. Installed and wanted to look into game, but crashes at the beginning like in the first Post of this thread.

Same problem here, but the first time I tried it worked only to the main menu. When I wanted to start a new game, it gave Blue Screen!!!

Now I can't open it at all.

Have Windows 8.1 64 bits.

My error box has no code or message execpt to say its crashed.

however, the same rig with windows 7 installed ( i have two boot images, dont ask) works first time.

How many others are having a problem with vista?

Here's the info with the bluscreen crash (what crashed was "portcls.sys". I have a SoundBlaster X-Fi and I've seen that bluscreen before with other games):
