Lost/Corrupted Save

Welp. Reminder to backup your saves - C:\Users\<username>\AppData\LocalLow\TVGS\Schedule I\Saves\ - to a different location, bc I just lost my save game. Not sure yet if I'll console stuff back in or just start from scratch, mostly bc if there's other corruption I don't know about, then console gifting stuff to myself won't solve that.

Info:
- I am on 0.3.4f4
- I am using Steam Cloud sync (which, downloading the Metadata.json from last night when I stopped playing, still says created at that time. So no luck restoring from steam backup, I don't think, or at least if the save was corrupted locally, it also wrote to the steam cloud.)
- Windows 10 Pro 22H2
- The last thing i remember doing was running over some cops in the crosswalk near Thrifty Threads, getting the 'wanted dead or alive' for the first time, and driving my veeper to the barn via the shorter path, hiding in the barn and saving the game immediately after losing the 'wanted dead or alive' status.

Other possibly relevant info:
- at the main menu, my character was showing as a mostly-black shader, with the exception of underwear, eyeballs, and i think nipples.
