Cauldron with bug
The cauldron has a bug, I can't open it to add items, I can't remove anything and I end up losing my coca leaves and gasoline

save then reload the game helps-also keep in mind when the assigned worer is active ad on his way,the caldron is "reserved" for him,and you cant interact with it until he is done.
in my game it occured a few times and reloading always fixed it.try several times.
I'm having the same issue and the fix you said only works sometimes. if i assign my chemist to my four cauldrons they will run them all once then two of them will be stuck even if they have materials in it still. When i reload the save it sometimes fixes them but then the next time the chemist does another pass through all four of them, it bugs two of them again.

do you have your chemist assigned to more than 1 cauldron? that seem to happen when 1 chemist is assigned to more than 1 cauldron. something about switching between them. I think most of the employee issues is something to do with pathing. cause if they don't really have to move to do their tasks is when i see issues happening.

interesting. i have four cauldrons beside each other and there is plenty of space in front of them. i really dont want to hire 4 chemists for these cauldrons i hope they can find a fix for this. the bug report is down.

Thanks for that, I'll watch more closely and put space between one cauldron and another.

Thanks! This helped, but it turns out the bug comes back when the chemist runs the task again.

I'll pay attention to that. I'll follow the tips posted here... I usually put 1 chemist to work in 2 cauldrons and 2 lab ovens, and other 2 chemists working in Mix Stations.

I had 2 chemist assigned in my Barn. They were working on 4 Cauldrons and 4 Ovens. The next Day, 2 Cauldrons were bugged (couldn't interact,work or remove). Then I fired 1 Chemist, and the Cauldrons started working (I could Interact with them). However after hiring Chemist again, and then assigning him to the stations and bed. He was just staying and not Working. I double checked everything if it was given to him, everything was right but he wasn't working.

I have the same issue, it happens every now and then but when it happens it gets stuck like this and is really annoying.

EDIT:
i tried unassigning the chemists and even the botanists and then reloaded the game, seems to fix it for now

i found having one chemist for four cauldrons while having botanists deliver from drying rack was the problem. They would both try to go to a cauldron and then timeout and thus make the cauldron inaccessible. Having a chemist for no more than 2 cauldrons then having the botanists go to more than one cauldron made it work consistently so far.
Cauldron locked out bug. I had four drying racks into one cauldron duplicated four times in the warehouse. Constant locking out. It seems to be a problem with the the hand off from the drying racks to the cauldron. REROUTED all drying racks to a shelf and then handler over to the cauldron. I have one chemist working on two cauldrons for quite some time with no issues. What is weird, is that I have the barn set up the same. Four drying racks to a cauldron without any issues and chemist working multiple cauldrons. Why would the warehouse treat cauldrons differently?
I would like to add info. In my warehouse, I have dedicated botanists for my drying racks and separate ones for my pots. My barn is setup as four pots and four drying racks per botanist. My barn has no issues only my warehouse.

If you have chemists that have more than 1 cauldron affected, try to only affect 1 cauldron by chemist. It worked for me.
My cauldrons are running fine now. The bug seems to only happen when there are botanist who only work on the drying racks try to put the leaves into the cauldron. Making a handler shelf as middle man for the leaf transfer and or reassign botanists to 4 pots and 4 plants fixes it. Also you have to redo the cauldron to "reset" the bug one last time.
I have 2 cauldrons and 2 ovens per chemist in both barn and warehouse with no issues for an in game week after I did what I mentioned above. I 100% fixed this bug for myself. There still may be different bugs. The cauldrons seem to have a lock out period when a worker decides to travel there. The lock is normally on the item slot in other things like a shelf. Maybe the lock is being applied to whole cauldron itself and causing a bug. I don't really know just trying to help at this point because it was very annoying and I "fixed" my game or at least found a work around.
