Multiplayer - Stuck on Spawning Player

I have a million dollar operation I worked on building with my fiance, after the update I'm not able to fully load/join into her world. It shows "waiting for host to finish loading" and then it stalls on "spawning player". Any fixes to this? I just want to be able to join the world again.

I'm dealing with a similar issue.

I can 'join' the game, but I remain stuck on the loading screen. I can access the escape menu from the loading screen, but can't do anything further.

The host can see my character appearing as 'player' in the middle of the canal, floating in mid-air.

Host is going to attempt loading in single player, re-saving the game, and then doing multiplayer. We're wondering if it's because he hasn't loaded it since the update and perhaps the save data needs to be updated first. The next option is to see if we can edit the save file and remove my player data so that I join as a 'fresh' player, in case that's the problem.

Host loaded save in single player, saved, we both restart our games, and I was able to join.

So if anyone's having this issue right now, have the host try to load in single player and save to ensure it's updated the save.
