Energy Drink In Free Sample Crashes Game

So i was playing with my friend untill he pickpocket someone and toke his energy drink then gave the energy drink to the guy with the free sample and caused the game to crash and some parts of the game with text was black. When we try to give him the free sample again with the energy drink it also crashed again. Why does this happen???
