Multiplayer Loading Bug

when loading into multiplayer with one other person, on his save file, I was stuck in the spawning player phase. I wonder if this has something to do with occupied spawn point because of objects in the room. The game had progressed marginally while I was not on the save, so maybe also something to do with levelling up?

Any help would be greatly appreciated
