Black Screen
After completing the first part of the intro and leaving the ranch, my screen remains black. I can not quit the game unless I want to start all over again and again. Anyone having this issue?

I've played through the prologue a few times.
First I thought it may be a save issue. Restarted. Nope...
Then uninstalled, and reinstalled. Nope...
So I just restarted again. Waited for it to lock up. Exited and reloaded. thinking it may be a loading issue. No dice...
So I did it again, and again, And Again...
I've ran through 5 new saves, 5 times each. And nada...

Dev needs to get on this ASAP!!!
Not a good look when a game locks up 15-20 mins in, when just trying to go from the prologue map, to the main map...
Same here, tried several times now, hopefully something that can be sorted soon.

If you already finished the prologue (and got the achievement) you can just start a new game and tick the 'skip the prologue' checkbox. I had the same issue but it will put you right after the black loading screen, so you don't miss anything.

Not a fix but a good workaround if you just want to continue playing the game.

I actually remember seeing that option, and then it totally left my mind, never even thought of it again haha, thanks I'll give it a shot!

Edit: It worked, thanks again.

I mean yeah, It's a workaround. Still kinda annoying, 'cause it locks me out of the achievement, and that early game revenue boost...

I'd consider this a "game breaking" issue...

I see you unlocked both achievements you can get in the prologue so there is nothing that you are locked out of. This is not game breaking when the workaround is so easy. Doesn't change the fact that they have to fix it.

Incorrect:
I'm locked out of "Left in the dust" the achievement for completing the prologue. And the income, and exp, boost for doing so...

Thus, a "game breaking" issue...
same problem
Same issue. It's not triggering the achievements and locks in black screen. Skipping prologue works and game runs fine. Hopefully I can pick up the achievements at some point in the future.

Just had the same problem. I've been able to fix it though I'm not 100% sure what fixed it (but my best guess would be the graphics settings).

All I did differently was:
1) Change Graphics Settings from "Ultra" back to "High" (which was the default)
2) After the Day-Summary screen clicked <Enter> (cursor was still visible so i assumed it might still have the dialog open in the background)

So after some jacking around, and trying different things, I think I've figured out why the Prologue won't complete for some people...

And if I'm right, it's going to be kinda funny...

When you first start a new game, don't put any spaces, punctuation marks, ( , . ! ? ; : " ' ) or special characters ( @ # $ % ^ & * ) in the save name...

I'm not sure which of the three the game's having an issue with, but it seems to work fine if I ONLY use just upper and lower case letters...

The above fix worked for me. I was consistently facing this issue on a new game with a save name that contained a space character. Started a new game with no space or special characters and was able to proceed past the prologue.
