how i fix stuck on "loading data"

[Exstasy, feat LSD & Xanax]

Tried to connect to my 3 friends that already playing more than 2 hours

1. tried to connect, stuck on "loading data"
2. created new game, with skip prologue, save, tried to connect, stuck again
3. created new game with prologue, play to the end of prologue, tried to connect, stuck again
4. check game files, try to connect, failed again
5. add friend who hosted the game to my friends, create new game with him (im host this time) he succesfuly connected
6. tried to connect to him again, success

So I think the problem is - guy who started the game not in your friends list
Or you need to create new game when you host, and your friend is connect, then try to backwards (try to connect to ur friend game)

Right click Schedule I - Properties - Turn off Keep game's saves in the Steam Cloud for Schedule I
Go to /appdata/LocalLow/TVGS/ScheduleI/Saves/(STEAMID)/SaveGame/Players/(STEAMID_OF_FRIEND)
Then delete the variables folder.

My group of friends had this problem, we found the fix was everyone in the lobby had to be friends on steam!

I have the same issue but i'm the Host and cant get into the game world, but my homie can run around. I tried everything for the last 2 hours and its ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up

Yea I tried everything I saw on the internet but nothing works.... Im the host and Im stuck on the loading screen but we are friends so this isnt the problem....

For me yes, me and my friend are trying to play but im still stuck on "loading data" and yes we are friends on steam

What finally worked for me was
1: creating a new save and opening the save (skipped prologue)
2: close down the game
3: Move all the save files from the original save to the newer one
Except the one named Products.
4 Re-opened the new save with the new file.

maybe it's useless, but if I were you I would try to create a new game and go through the prologue

- Right click Schedule 1 in your steam library
- Click properties
- Click Betas
- Select "Beta" Under Beta Participation drop down menu
- Try to join game now will say mismatch
- Redo everything and return version to none
- Try joining again
