Mixing feels very frustrating instead of fun
So I wanted to look for a calculator (or some kind of 'mix randomizer') I could use that would use what ingredients I have access to. I did find a calculator (you'll need to Google it as I dunno how Steam would 'rate' the website).
I've been trying to use it to get (at least) a product that's $100 or more, but even with several ingredients that I assume would be good, I feel like I'm barely able to do anything. Infact some ingredients (showing green in that calculator like Cuke), barely move the total price.

I've been looking around Youtube trying to find out "what am I doing wrong?" and it seems to me.. the game is actively punishing me for not experimenting. Do I have to pay attention to the effects instead of how much cash it's going to get me (and not to 'consume' too many effects)?
Like... seriously, what should I be doing? Because I'm not someone that's enjoys mindless experimentation (when low on cash and trying to make a profit).

Now I've been using Benji to sell my product (including my upgraded product). I don't really see the point of getting more customers when;
1. Benji is already maxed on customers.
2. Unless I want to get the next Dealer (Molly).
3. This $118 a product is a bit too expensive to be giving out as free samples (IMO).

Manual labour was less of a chore than automation. I have 4 mixing tables, and my shelves are completed within 1 day. This means resupplying for 3k a day (bungalow, barn). I'm starting to think my handler is stealing my viagra. I should shank him.

I use a 6 ingredient mix. In my experience, what the customers like doesn't matter as long as the strain is addictive enough. If they don't want to be customers after the first sample, give them another sample the next day, and another the next day. Never had a customer say no twice in a row to my 100% addictiveness mix, let alone three times.

I like the mixing but it's a chore when you need to mix anything more in mass amounts and for longer period. I wish there was way to automate it but maybe just having an option to speed it up in settings could work.

just don't mix if you don't wanna mix, but with 4 steps, I get 45$ dollar weed up to like, 120$ ^^
The price of your stuff doesn't really matter though, cause customers are capped on what they can spend by day. They will buy more if you have cheaper stuff. Concerning getting more customers... Welp, like was mentioned earlier, customers are capped on spending per day, so you're limiting your earning potential by not getting new customers.

Also 118$ worth too expensive to give out as free samples ? you're being stingy on money here but you don't want new customers to make more money ? o.o

I think you have the wrong approach, goal is to make money. Giving that 118$ sample away to a customer that will buy for at the very minimum 400$/day... like.. come on. :P

I really don't understand your approach with the game. >//<

At OPs stage, he should be focusing on plain sour diesel for Benji, getting more customers with plain weed and learn basic mixing to get the harder customers, and maybe save up Purple GD for Molly. When he's ready to automate mixing, then go for the big mixes. I give the dealers their favorite plain and my top weed (banana, gas, white pills, cuke, bean, battery, banana, and cuke). It retails for 170ish and sells for 300 ish. I'm playing a little weird, trying to unlock as much as I can without starting the meth quest and selling only weed.

Edit. OGK as base.

Has anyone here played Weedcraft Inc.? I see a lot of similar mechanics regarding mixing, or how to expand to other districts. I also think I read that competition will be introduced soon. Weedcraft had that too. That could mean that you have competitors in every district, offering a specific strain to attract a lot of customers. You then have to find a better strain/mix to beat the competition.

So I now have the Bungalow, and the Mk2 Mixer. Yet I think I now see why I was told by you guys not to worry about mixing, because I had this idea (that the game said "hell no" to) that I could hire a Chemist to automate recreating the strain for me (as long as I keep the shelves full) with just one mixer.
But it seems the dev prefers you to make 'a non-efficient system' (what I was told) with 7+ mixers (1 per each level of strain) which requires you to purchase one of the larger warehouses for the space required for it, and hire a Handler.

Is this why you guys suggested I stay away from mixing (or these complex strains)? Because looking at it, I need 96 Mega Bean and Cuke, and 56 of everything else as I'm getting 48 Granddaddy Grapes from my four pots (with fertilizer and the highest light). This is murder.
Tempted to listen and just give the Granddaddy Grapes to Benji, because it feels like a chore now to re-remember each and every substance in that specific order (and the fact I have to split delivery orders into two separate orders.

Yet what about Meth? When finally getting it in crystal form, it has nothing on it. Do I still this as-is too? Tried the same mixture (through the calculator) and it shows I'll get more money. But again... it's no better than what I'm going through now with these stack/shelf inventory size limits.
And how in the hell do I tell the Handler to get all of those substances for the Chemist? They're going to be on several large shelves instead of one.

...Makes me not want to play anymore. Suffering from success is real.
And even if I do decide to go back to keeping it simple and just focus on customers' favorites, I dunno where they live and go (the map is ZERO help once they become a customer). Like I'm trying to get Jerry to like me to unlock the next dealer (Molly). But he is hard to find with no map marker of where my customers are (every guide out there lies to me claiming the map will help me find them).

no, I'm running 4 mixers with a single chemist to get my weed from 45$ to 120$
What I was saying is "you don't need to make superbangerogkushwith9attributes, you can just make a chill mix with 4 machines, one chemist, and one handler".
Customers won't spend more than their allowance per day, if you don't want to mix, that's up to you, you'll just sell more OG kush, you'll need to grow more of it tho. ^^''
The more you raise the value of your weed, the less you'll sell, I find a happy middle ground where most of my customers will buy a jar at once.
For now I think you should just sell OG kush or whatever you wanna grow, it will all make a lot more sense once you acquire the barn. :P

One thing I will recommend tho, grow grandaddy purple, mix that with energy drink, and then mix the result with paracetamol, just for your personal consumption. You'll thank me, promise. :D

With how small the Bungalow is (and to have enough room to walk around), that's not possible to have more than one Mixer for me.

Also, with the calculator, I have to have at least 6 substances (and get lucky) to have it above $100. I clearly do NOT know what I'm doing, even with this calculator. And no recipe list on the internet is able to help me.
The mix I have now (for Granddaddy Grape) as I said requires 7 substances for $149. Again I have to be doing this wrong. I don't know 'the right' combination to use and I must know. Even my friends can't help me with this as they're too learning.. yet they're able to make a more profitable product with less substances and won't tell me how they do it! UGH!!

there is no luck involved in that at all :P This is a 79$ mix ^
Add Addy and Battery to that, and you hit 103$, and everyone will have a fat head and glowing eyes, it's hilarious.

I don't have access to Addy yet. I just got Iodine unlocked.

Every drug effect has a different multiplier that changes overall value, some of those effects have a bad multiplier of 0. You want to use the higher multiplier effects but each additional ingredient can change the existing effects eg ruining a good multiplier. Finding blends with the highest possible values is the trick - you can look up the best things others have found or attempt to work out your own optimal blends. I made a guide that maps out all the shortest paths to each effect so it can be a starting point for you at least:

Take it easy bro, you don't need to check that 100$ mix box yet :P
Just stack on these dollars as much as you can, focus on selling/getting new customers, and making deals. ^^

you can replace the addy with iodine, you'll get a 102$ mix.

i sticked with OG+Paracetamol+Cuke+Banana = 80bucks x 1,4 (highest price limit customers want to pay before complaining) = 112bucks and since u keep the high payer for yourselve you earn even more. its a simple and cheap recipe with a relativly high selling price. perfect for a good start and people who dont want to go shopping all day long just to keep their
8x mixing going. (the higher the price the less products the customers buy )but for a higher price) and the less products you have to mix)

btw theres a mod which autobuys. that way you dont have to go perma shoping.
