Optimization and Screen Tearing is so unbearable.
So, i've had a read through most of the responses about why Schedule 1 is having performance issues from, vsync being on vs off, and being cpu bound, but I'm finding none of these to be the truth in my case. My cpu isn't getting close to max utilization on any 1 single core or overall, it's also seeing no differences between vsync on or off, and reducing the graphics quality is straight up not giving me extra fps, trash is removed in my world so effectively something has to be wrong with the optimization of this game on a fundamental level and was wondering if anyone else was experiencing similar issues so that this can become a priority if it is widespread. Running at sub 40 fps with a 7900xtx, 32gb of ram and a 3800x is absolutely criminal as there are plenty of other games I can run on this pc with over 100fps and they have more intricate graphics and gameplay.

It surely is not very well optimized yet, but I gave it some slack since single dev and work in progress... That said, I play this game on my lower end PC (9600K, RX6600 and 32GB ram) on High settings 1440p upscaled to 4K with shadows and godrays etc. enabled on my LG TV. I got it running at 120fps with the help of the Lossless Scaling app (frame limit to 60fps, 2x framegen). This made massive difference, without that app, even at a locked 60fps it just runs like total crap, it never looks smooth at all. The only issue I have is it does not vsync very well, can't get rid of the screen tearing with freesync enabled or even with vsync on, really strange. However, the lossless scaling app really did some magic to this system, I now enjoy playing it even with the tearing and occasional stutters. It isn't too bad and I didn't have high expectations for this system to begin with, but hey, it's totally playable and actually looks smooth. Maybe give lossless scaling a try. Doesn't make up for the actual fact that this game isn't very well optimized, I hope it will get better over time. Your system should run this game way better than mine, 40fps doesn't sound right.

Modern compilers are thread aware so you won't get a single core maxed out like you used to. If the build is all serial code and the compiler is thread aware you will get a small amount of each core taken up even though it's maxed out.

At what res'?

I play at 1440, VSync on a 4070 Super (which is roughly equivalent), 100+ nearly all the time. Zero issues with Bungalow, Barn and Dock running.
I run 4K.. only issue I ever had was Vsync.. turn that s%$^ off
