Just because you got your monies worth or/and if you like the game very much, doesn't mean it's worth it's price. Especially when you compare it to other games in that price category.
Just do it yourself, think about all great games you played for $20 or less.
Just to name a few: Dave the Diver, Undertale, Hollow Knight, Stardew Valley
Now look up how much those games cost, how much content they deliver and how polished they have been from day 1.
I'm not hating the game by the way. I think Schedule is awesome and it has huge potential. I'm sure in a few years, this game can be on par with many timeless indies and even surpass some of them.
while they're all great games, I've gotten more value from sched I than I would any of those, not saying these games aren't worth the asking price, rather saying sched I is good in its own way, and worth the pricetag
Obviously I'm not the only one who thinks this way. x_x
ok ok lets phrase it this way instead -
20 dollars from me to the maker of this game is money well spent.
no matter the currency, if someone cant scrounge together 20 bucks to drop on a game written by a single person or a very small team? Then yeah - they have other priorities to situate in your life before paying someone for making a stellar game that could give ya hours of entertainment.
but i dont think we should be under valuing a game because it "lacks polish"
I support artists, making art in all its forms. Polished or not and i reward potential with my dollars because thats the choice i can afford to make in my life.
let me donate to a license pool given to people who work for minimum wage, is a student, or low income - a way i can support the game by getting it another player on board with another 20 dollar payment but lets not make undervaluing the art and skill it takes to create a game the answer to getting this game into the hands of gamers who cannot afford 20 dollars for a title.
I forget where he put it though
