regarding botanists and sprinklers I had that bug as well, but it seems that if you first install the pots with sprinklers attached to them and after that you assign the pot to the botanist he will work as intended; all workers are slow too, but I circumvent that by manually making meth, while the weed business is handled by them
Only way to get more inventory right now is buying cars
I did that the first time, placed the pots, lights, sprinklers e.t.c and then assigned the botanist. But he still used the water pot to fill them. But i just moved my setup to the Barn and will rehire some guys now and see if he use the sprinklers this time.
Yeah workers are probably slower than if you do it yourself, but i feel like the botanist / chemist does their job fairly well. Kept filling up the shelves with drugs and i often found the packing / handling guy to be the bottleneck. But it was in the bungalow so the setup wasnt that big... had 10 plants and 1 chem table. Upgraded to 12 plants and thinking about trying 2 botanists with 6 plants each, 1 chemist for 2 chem tables and 2 ovens and 2 mixers since it feels like they just walk around push the buttons meanwhile the handler refills e.t.c for them. Might have to get 2 handlers 1 for pure moving stuff and 1 for only packing and see if that evens it out
2: I don't think they actually use sprinklers and yeah 6 is more reliable to run with them (honestly it's usually better to use water retaining pots with botanists rather than air since they can't keep up with watering all the plants usually imo)
3: All employees are currently slow, upgraded stations make no difference to them and they can bug out but it's EA so upgrades/fixes to this stuff should maybe come down the line.
4: large shelves are currently the biggest. You can make backup shelves that feed the normal resource shelves via handler routes to restock less often.
5: Currently there's no personal inventory space upgrades but they may come later, there is a mod for a backpack on mod nexus. Best thing you can do currently is save up 9k for the veeper van. It's the vehicle with the most space holding 16 slots of items (pulling it into a loading bay at a store puts the bought items directly into the car to save time)
And no, Botanists cannot use sprinklers (annoyingly).
You're better off pairing 4 pots of weed to 4 individual drying racks.
And Handlers for Packing are largely only useful for packing jars, and especially later with bricks. If you ever intend to pack yourself and have the space, install a second packing station for yourself if you find you have a backlog. Otherwise enjoy the slow passive packing.
