[bug] Cauldrons Break Your Game
I have 3 cauldrons with coco leaves and gasoline in it. The timer is off and there is no option to interact with them. They are permanently stuck there because i cannot use the cauldron to take out the items. At first i thought the chemist broke them with two cauldrons being broken at the time, i removed him from the stations, but didn't fire him. However another cauldron has since broke with only me interacting with it. i did not see it break. i went to sleep in game and paused it for several hours. Coming back, i saw it was also broke.

Are they placed in the right direction? you can only access them from 1 side
encountered this as well. i had to reset my game to access the cauldrons. what youll need to do is space them out more so that the worker can path correctly. having them near too many objects will break the pathing.
You also have to make sure they aren't under anything like stairs, that will break the pathing as well
Cauldron locked out bug. I had four drying racks into one cauldron duplicated four times in the warehouse. Constant locking out. It seems to be a problem with the the hand off from the drying racks to the cauldron. REROUTED all drying racks to a shelf and then handler over to the cauldron. I have one chemist working on two cauldrons for quite some time with no issues. What is weird, is that I have the barn set up the same. Four drying racks to a cauldron without any issues and chemist working multiple cauldrons. Why would the warehouse treat cauldrons differently?
I would like to add info. In my warehouse, I have dedicated botanists for my drying racks and separate ones for my pots. My barn is setup as four pots and four drying racks per botanist. My barn has no issues only my warehouse.
you can't have an employee assigned to more than one cauldron or they all break
I have 2 cauldrons assigned to 1 chemist at the warehouse and repeated twice at the barn with no issues now.

bug appears only when you assign 2 Cauldrons right after each other. When you do "Cauldron -> Lab oven -> Caldron -> Laboven" it works fine.
I looked at the save files (which are all json files) and here is what i found:

My bugged cauldron in the barn (not interactable) contained 2 stacks of heavenly and fuel.
I found the location for the json files that contains the info for it:

<SaveLocation>/Properties/Barn/Objects/cauldron_XXXXXX.json

SaveLocation = AppData/LocalLow/TVGS/Schedule I/Saves/SteamID?
XXXXX is some kind of hash

Now the interesting part:
- the cauldrons that worked had the json Property "InputQuality": 4
- the bugged cauldron had "InputQuality": 2

Exiting the game, changing 2 -> 4 and saving, starting the game -> My chemist immediatly started the cooking and the cauldron was "unbugged".

how did you access those files on your pc, currently stuck having no access to one of my cauldrons, the other works just fine and the other one is bugged with items inside it.
Another workaround I found when this happens is just fire the Chemist that bugged the Cauldrons out in the first place and hire a new one. Worked for me and I havent had any issues since.
One time I couldn't interact with one, but the next day it was fine. Evidently right at 4am someone was coming to do something to it, and it locked it down for their use, which stayed during the 4am time making it appear as if it was perma bugged. As relogging didn't change anything, only progression to the next day when the worker finally interacted and cleared the flag.
Just started having this issue today. I have 3 cauldrons bugged out now, lol. Guess I gotta go ahead and buy the warehouse so I have more room for more bugged out cauldrons
This issue is bigger than just cauldrons, it's all equipment and workers. The longer I play the worse it seems to get for me. In my current game--about 45 hours in and running ops in all buildings--I have:

- chemists breakdown at the bungalow trying to unload an oven
- chemists breakdown at the dock warehouse with broken cauldrons (what you explained)
- botanists breakdown at their pots and stop moving (barn and dock warehouse)
- botanists breakdown at their drying racks (barn and dock warehouse)
- drying racks breakdown without NPC nearby likely due to being routed to broken cauldrons or near them (barn and dock warehouse)
- botanist breakdown at the sweatshop without clear reason

I've plenty of good things to say about this game, but I would have had upwards of 70 hours enjoying this game by now if the number of these breakdowns didn't make the whole game feel disrupted.

are you running any mods? I have been running the same mods and have had no issues until today when I bought the barn and setup 4 cauldrons with 2 chemists working two each. One cauldron breaks, can't interact with them and can't even remove them because they have product in them. So I setup a new cauldron and a new path and then it breaks. Rinse and repeat. Whatever it is I don't think it has anything to do with mods. But I could be wrong.
