each one of them has a set amount of cash they're able to spend on a sale.
when you start mixing to get prices like that, you will notice that they don't buy as much, or as often: because you are actually over mixing.
and so you end up with product that takes forever to sell, you still get your money back and profit from it but the time to do so will be way longer.
this is why you will see people saying to stick with 2-4 ingredient mixes instead of minmaxxing.
i think only the npcs that have storefronts will be able to buy more at those costs, but they also have a desireability limit as i call it: for instance: jeff only buys a couple hits at a time despite having over 1500 dollars in his inventory from when i bought my skateboard from him. - psa: if you buy the skateboard from him, go make a save then steal the money back.
