Schedule I
Beds were a bad idea.
Beds don't make a whole lot of sense. I think it's pretty rare for people to sleep at work, and they take up an awkward amount of space. For instance, the barn can support ten workers, you can only fit like nine beds on the top floor.

Not only does putting the beds in the workspace make it look like crap, but the employees don't even use the beds. So here is my idea.

Lockers. Plenty of jobs have lockers for their workers. You deposit the money in the locker that is assigned to an employee. Now, beds could still be used. Make it so that workers don't show up at work until ten or noon, then give us the option to rent a structure near each facility. The hotel room next door to unit 1, an apartment next to the sweatshop, the house next to the bungalow, a shed next to the barn, the warehouse next to the warehouse. Then have it so that populating that structure with beds allows the workers to show up at seven so that there is some incentive to buy the structure and use the beds.

Just an idea, because lets face it, the catwalks in the warehouse could be used for supplies rather than beds. As could the top floor of the barn, etc etc etc.

One of the reasons I looked at mods, and what do ya know, no beds mod, lol.

I use:
No beds for employees
set employee idle location
extra employees

I actually think this is a really good idea! Lockers could even be sold in units - like 3 or 5 so depending on where you're at or how many employees you have in each place would make it easier to situate them. This was with a locker system you'd only have to have some wall space for them. OR if they are going to stand outside then maybe if you buy lockers those could be installed/place on the outside wall of your property. Lockers could also exclusively be sole at the warehouse by Oscar since you have to go in there to hire employees anyway.
The you'd just have to have 1 bed in your game which is for you personally to use which I find helpful when playing co-op with friends cause it makes it a bit more apparent when you're ending the day if everyone has to click on the bed.

Replacing these huge beds with 1*1 or even 2*1 lockers each would be really good and indeed make a lot more sense.
Or at least make them use them at 4am so I don't feel like it's such a waste.
Yeah, either have employees use their beds, or make them lockers instead. Look if my people are gonna live at work they'd better use the beds I put there.

Tbh if they're gonna live at the place anyway, they shouldn't be employees, but rather trafficking victims.
You're kinda missing the point. The beds aren't there to be easy to fit into any layout. They're literally there to add some challenge and make you think about your setup if you want to make it work with employees.
just give us bunk beds, and make them smaller or the ability to locate them in a usless space like the hotel
definitely in favor of lockers over beds. The beds are super annoying.

There is literally no challenge involved so according to you they fail at their only purpose.

And here is my idea that actually has impact on gameplay, is a challenge to obtain, and offers both challenge and reward:

" Now, beds could still be used. Make it so that workers don't show up at work until ten or noon, then give us the option to rent a structure near each facility. The hotel room next door to unit 1, an apartment next to the sweatshop, the house next to the bungalow, a shed next to the barn, the warehouse next to the warehouse. Did you even read my post?

So having to arrange your places around the amount of needed beds isnt a challenge???

Good for you, being so uber skilled. I for one have to do quite a bit of work to make sure i can fit in my workers how i want them.
Kudos for a very good idea.

There is no need to be skilled. You can only have so many worker, and worker can walk between station on top of being able to access some of them from an angle unlike the player so you don't really need that much space in the first place.

I added mods and was able to fit 20 worker in the barn without much trouble with some space left (with 48 drying rack among other things, take tons of space) so guess what happen when you can only fit the base 10 worker here.
