Why make such a big deal about a thing we see everyday? I mean, films, series, tv shows, music, tons of games "promote" drugs. We go to drugstores every once in a while. Human history has a pillar on drugs. Many countries have already legalised drug consumption. Governments allow us to smoke tobacco and drink alcohol (these are way more dangerous than many illegal drugs). Drugs are not or at least should not be a taboo anymore. Anyways, it is just a game about selling drugs as is Breaking Bad, for example, and neither promotes use/solicitation of drugs. Saying the contrary is like saying violent video games induce people on being violent (which is proven they don't).
Back to the game technical issues, yeah, it has lots of flaws especially after your company becomes big. But we should remember it is a one-dev game and it has potential for almost infinite new mechanics and possibilities. I played the demo for 5 hours straight and I wanted more, something that had not happened with me for years. If the game suddenly stop existing or sink in bugs and glitches, the many hours I've spent before will have been worth the time and money I've invested on it.
The point of gaming is escapism. Just because someone plays GTA does not mean they commit domestic terrorism and use rocket launchers on cop cars.
You should maybe stop troll farming for Jester badges or show me other posts you made complaining on other forums, of way more violent games than this.
If not shut the fugg up and stop fail farming.
Overdose whatever you want, but no need to unironically promote drug usage.
Who could have guessed that drugs are illegal not because bad police guards worldy secrets, but because they are actually dangerous?
ah yes because the average game doesnt promote violence and other illegal activities. GTA5 is played by many kids and promotes becoming a drug cartel, yet where are all those 12 year olds selling cocaine and wacking other kids?
nobody cares about weed, and nobody is gona think doing meth is a good idea
While we're at it, why are video games even ok, you can be addicted to them and they do have negative health effects
But all EA game will have it where you reach a wall of sorting your ♥♥♥♥ out fully and just making money for nothing, with time new aspects will be added and thhings will get more interesting and dynamic.
In the meantime, do what I do, stuff like what I said above, make a spreadsheet to manage costs, do special sales events, go out on foot and sell direct to folk, see someone not your dealer selling near where your dealer lives? Do a hit on them and flee the cops, roleplay I guess.
I got one save, I'm a total ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, I try to short people all the time in return for lower listing prices but if they catch me out I beat them up, and if my dealer doesnt have enough money in a day I beat him up too etc.
Another one I am a good guy, aim for effects that are low addiection and less negative side effects.
If you just farm the best profit stuff with workers and sell them via dealers and not list anything on the phone you're going to be bored.
Drugs are easier to get a hold of than firearms. And drug use is subjectively less harmful for an individual than a deranged psychopath killing people. That being said, I've been a weed user for almost 20 years. I stopped using it about 4 months ago, and playing this gave me ideas that I would want to start using weed again.
This game is putting a seed in my mind that weed use is fun again, with all the silliness that came with it. But deep down I know how harmful it has been to my social and academic life.
