Safe storage of cash?

I somehow have ~$30k cash vs. ~$1k account.. I'm slowly laundering but stuck for a while I while until I can deposit more / buy another business.

Do I need to worry about 'storing' cash somewhere? Can I put it in the safe that's available from the jewellery store? Or am I worrying about nothing..?

Shelves would be fine I guess, as long as it doesn't glitch and disappear! (Not that anything else has done so far)

Is there a file we can edit for the values in inventory and maybe total for character to mitigate this? I wonder if there's a mod to modify the save file info in case it changes or doesn't save properly

I don't think anything can happen to the cash you have on you?

It's just a limit on what you can buy.

if you carry around no cash when you get arrested it wont charge you anything for the fine

i put money on a table and it all disappeared the next load so id be careful of leaving cash laying around on stuff

I'm pretty sure todays patch dropped a safe you can buy.. not sure if it's functional?

They are.

They're the same as large shelves, basically, with 8 slots. Just a lot more expensive.

I don't know if they have any other features (like maybe only usable by whoever put it down, in co-op?).
