Should i play this now?
I am seeing a lot of people reporting a lot of bugs and missing save files, is this really happening? I was kinda busy playing other games, this month has been crazy with game releases, i just finished Khazan and The last of us part II, as i was playing these 2 games i bought Schedule 1 so that when i finish those 2 games i mentioned i will hop in to give it a go, but now i am kinda scared to jump in. I do not want to have my progress wiped out, i really hate that.

I guess i will wait until Tyler fix this problem? - also any tips will be nice about this game, especially on how to deal with Police raids/police in general.

I'm 90hrs deep, only 2 achievements left and i haven't come across many bugs apart from the cauldron bug, everything else has worked clean as a whistle, give it a go, jump in, it's only 20 bucks, though low graphic settings WILL help with performance (trash builds up if you get lazy)

don't mess with mods or the console commands and im willing to bet you won't have half the issues a lot of other people are having as i say, i've only experienced the cauldron bug so far, but that can be soft fixed by closing game and re-opening, i think it's an issue with the chemist worker you can hire more than the actual cauldron though :)
youre worryin for no reason

130 hours, I have not gotten many bugs at all. Cauldron rarely bugs. I had a bug with falling through the map when I placed all my shelves in a row along the side of the barn. running into it caused me to fall through the map. it's not game breaking at all. I could do it for fun, it just resets you back in the barn. Also I think it was fixed somehow because it doesn't happen anymore.
If you are unsure, wait a few months, The dev said he is currently working on the bug most people here are having trouble with. Working on the employee pathing and making sure its stable, so its good to wait if you got the patience.
It's EA so any updates until full release have the potential to corrupt your save or have it not be compatible with the next update. i love this game but i wouldn't get too invested if your afraid of loosing your progress.
I'm currently a hard up heavy player towards the end that can't load their save file after update so. . .

idk man, I wish I could say what you avoid or what factors promise you a Good Time to the very end. I am basically done with the game at this point and I have totally enjoyed it, too... so, yeah, right? It is really absorbing but maybe my mistakes were
1) Letting it be 4am Forever and Ever, counting endless Meth, renaming it funny stuff like Mistuh Sparkle and changing the prices of every single entry by +$120 (for meth). Maybe changing all the prices makes the save file heavier or something.
2) Ultimately that's the weird disappointment of lost imaginary progress in a game that simulates tasks and work into gameplay. You don't want to lose the fact that you ran 3 loads of groceries back and forth with the van you bought, let alone having to rename and reprice all the drugs and rediscover the mixtures.

However, with mindful updates both of them are very easily fixed or addressable like a simple spreadsheet table where I can x = +$120 for everything, or RNG that expands the Random Name Table to make it so I don't feel the need to be original to make myself laugh.

But it is a fun game and I think thoroughly worth $20 to experience what I've already played if nothing else. And it's more of a New Game Alpha project with that type of potential to keep growing and change over time. Like, I wish I could check out walking inside the pawn shop that was just a brick you could knock on. There's plenty of potential here for value + $20. The fact that I'm here talking too much and wishing my game worked says that it's a good game. His next update promises to hammer out the performance issues some of us are having.

Fingers Crossed. If you want to try it out, I probably would; I have had fun so far up til now. And you can always play something or just do something else until the dev gets it handled (hopefully). Personally, I want the fix to happen so I can gloat about how long Fallout 4 has been unfixed by comparison. AAA studios v. 1 man.
Playing it as we speak, and so far haven't encountered any bugs or other issues yet.

Workers steal things off the shelves. I stopped playing until thats fixed.

Im 46 hours in and the only bugs i seen was falling through the map twice and the pawnshop guy missing at times. So less then 50 cents per hour already. A couple more hours and its less then the cost of electricity per hour for running my pc here in the Netherlands.

It's a great game. I had managed to put 50 hrs before the update messed up the game.

I would recommend it, I think it's excellent value.

Sadly, in its current state, it's unusable for me.

How are you unable to play it? The game works fine for me, and a lot of people didnt have any problems after the update.
it's early access. expect game breaking bugs. have fun, that's what matters in the end.

back it up once a day. it's stored locally on your system in AppData\LocalLow\TVGS folder.
