suppliers disappeared from contacts
i saved the game normally and exited, after I went into my save, my suppliers (Albert, Shirley) disappeared from my contacts. now I can't order seeds. is there a solution to fix this without losing progress?

I have the same problem , I came back to the game and Shirley is missing from my contacts even though I have her unlocked
I have this issue with my save as well prior to the update that was released today (4/10). As far as I know this is a softlock scenario.

The only way I've been able to resolve this is to have your save file already saved local and not in cloud and have a copy of your save with the NPC specific MessageConversation.json file. I have been copy and pasting it back into their folders which resolves the issue temporally.

I guess in a strange way because I've been making double back ups of my saves I have those files since my game would freeze anytime I tried to save/sleep. Forcing me to make those copies and deleting the ones the game references to prevent the freeze.

I found a solution to this problem.

you need to go to %appdata% - LocalLow - TVGS - Schedule I - Saves - (folder with numbers, everyone has different numbers) - (your save) - NPCs - (the supplier that disappeared) - MessageConversation.json

this file will be empty for you, but do not close it. if you have another save where all the contacts are in the phone, copy the contents of this file and paste it into the file that is in your save (you can copy this not only for one supplier, it will suit everyone).

and I'll give you this file or send you its contents in text.

this is the only working method that worked for me in this situation.
This is how I fixed it

Go to your PC userprofile and then (AppData\LocalLow\TVGS\Schedule I\Saves\76561199013863622\SaveGame_1\NPCs) Navigate to your current save and there will be an NPCs folder with all NPCs in it. Every NPC you currently have in your phone will have a MessageConversation.json file.

IN my case I did not have Salvador Moreno. I opened his folder, then NPC.json file in notepad and there you can adjust the debt, I changed 0.0 to 100.0, deposited money in his stash and he messaged me saying that he received the money

Bumping this up as I noticed that a new day save can cause a partial overwrite of another local - cloud save cross devices, steam deck to PC and this helped the ability to contact him.
