Constant Skipping/Lag

Anyone else having an issue where the game skips/lags every few seconds?

Pretty sure I have done everything I can think of to fix: uninstall/reinstall (even different location), ran as admin, verify game files, update drivers/windows/game.

I have usually gotten it only when certain functions are used, mostly the 'Request Drop' button with the first seed seller.

Yeah I have this too, more noticeable on the skateboard, was playing earlier, went to the shop, got back, new update and now it stutters, think we gotta wait for a hotfix here mate :)

Also my computer is quite decent, Rtx 4070ti Super 32gigs of ram, all the good stuff, just putting it out there as that should not be the issue, hardware that is ^^

Are you doing co-op? I was the host and had to clear my steam cache and turn off windows firewall and that fixed the issue. I didn't lag, but by friend did. And I limited my fps to 60. Not a computer person here but just following other solutions I found. Good luck. I haven't played since the most recent update, gonna try it now.

Mine seems to be happening always during the day/evening time. Once it hits 4am and the game "stops" the lagging does too.

ye, i have this too like it happens when i go to barn and theres like 40 pots of coke and 40 lights and 40 soil pourers and 40 sprinkles and like 10 botanists...like i think those pots and soil pourers and sprinklers are registred as entities so it is tougher for pc to render them as well as lights especially those 200$ spectrum lights whatever, game needs optimization immediately, ps i get barely 50fps on 16gb ram and gtx 1660s

mine just started doing this went to the shop and started coming back and started laggin bad. think it's somthing with the new update as I have a nice pc as well. i9 11900k 64gb ram rtx3080
-just waited till 4am and the lag stops so idk if it's something with the new update or the workers

Its the workers. Most likely botanists. They stop working at 4am so the stuttering stops. If you want to test it yourself, once you notice the stuttering, fire all your workers, and it'll stop

How odd/funny, you guys are absolutely right, I went in a save, waited till night time and low and behold, there is little to no stutter, it could be a lighting issue then, but I digress, point is I think we just have to wait this one out, unless you hear about a fix, then please let the rest of us know 😂🖤

You guys are right, its the botanists making the game lag/skip every second. As soon as its 4am my game runs smooth again. Something messed up with botanists

i will try that but for coke i need 3 times to put water so buissness i made its so hard to catch time for all ahhahahahahah i would need to stand there and just tap water sprinklers but i have no time for that so i decided to quit game until they fix lagging and stutering..

I have the stuttering at all times while playing the game, even after my botanist stops doing things. I looked at trying to stop the trash generators but i can't edit the json file for some reason

Logically it makes sense, but the majority of bad FPS/Stutter threads here are newer hardware. I use a 1070 and 6600k and don't have any issues playing this game with everything maxed. My SteamDeck and the laptop I bought just last year can't maintain 30 FPS on the lowest of settings, but my 1070 won't drop below the 90 FPS default target and without stutter.

Can confirm it's the workers. Had no lag or stutters for 20 hours of gameplay, hired a botanist and suddenly I was getting stutters every few seconds. Fired botanist and it's back to buttery smooth framerates.

Definitely something wrong with the botanists after the latest update. 4070 super, ryzen 5 7600, 32GB RAM and the game is basically unplayable... embarassing. Hoping the hotfix is on it's way.

It only happens for me when a worker gets stuck
