Best set up for Bungalow

I can recommend placing pots or chemical stations
(depending on what you're going to produce) as close to the front door as possible.

This will help your NPCs spend less time walking back and forth.

I placed a total of 24 pots in the back-area. (took 3 botanists to cover them, beds in the front area together with the beds) and the chemistry site was put inside the stash 'n dash, the sweatshop got the shroom treatment... only just now bought the barn so it'll be overhauled.
tried starting a new save after the latest update and almost got all of north- and westtown... for some reason the benzie family hasn't shown up yet so I can't progress any further.

I throw like three weed growing pots in the backroom, couple shelves, put a heater in the middle of the room and a trash can, fill the rest of the wall space with drying racks. In the front room I use 4 mixers against the walls, have a stack of 4 shelves in the middle of the room. The centre room is just a brick press and a packaging station, along with some misc shelves and all the lockers for employees.

That should provide you enough high quality mixed weed pretty much until the end game if you want. I eventually move my operation to the docks to centralize everything, but it's basically the same setup, i only add like 1 more growing pot, which i'm sure you could do in the bungalow if you wanted to stay there.

I went with massive weed op. Like Rasputin, I put 24 pots in the back room and fed them all GDP, fert, and long life soil to cut down on shelf space. Had a handler unloading vans and running a brick press.

I just bought the Barn and am thinking about cutting it down to 16 pots, growing Coca, and having 8 drying racks and a Chemist running two or three Cauldrons.

minus a little exploritory shroom op in the storage unit im all cocaine all the time.
16 pots in the barn, 24 pots in the mansion, 16 pots in the warehouse.
mixing goes on in the warehouse and the bungalow, 8 mixers at both. basically i play stocking simulator.
