Open up family sharing licences while AUS distribution being sorted?
Aussie here. I'd buy the partner a copy, but I can't. As a gesture of goodwill, before people start throwing their money at dodgy key / gifter sites, let us family share until you sort the issue out? I believe you can add multiple licences that let crew play "x" version this way. It'd be appreciated.

This is not something Tyler or even steam can control. You'd have better luck (1% instead of 0%) asking the AUS government themselves.

It was Tyler's own fault and he said as much. He didn't know he had to get his game classified and didn't apply. He has since started the process apparently.

It turns out all games in Australia have to receive a classification before they can be sold. I was under the impression this was only the case for console or physical releases. It seems like this rule is pretty inconsistently enforced because there’s a ton of unclassified games being sold in Australia.

We’re getting the classification process underway today and will hopefully get this resolved in the next couple of days.

Sorry for the inconvenience everyone!

tl;dr Not banned - just awaiting classification.

I was referring more to making a request of tyler to allow family sharing. It's no longer something he can control is something I should have said. He's done what he can, and now we wait for the AUS government to do their thing.

Yes, it is something he can control. Globally.

Well, it's out of his hands in Australia, so no it isn't "globally"

thats not how family sharing works dude, also buying the steam cd key not on steam wont work either for those in AUS as they wont be able to add the game to there library cuz of there region and the fact the game is not currently allowed till it gets proper classification that is if it gets it as there is a good chance it wont be classified in which case it will remain not purchasable in AUS
