how do achievements work in multiplayer?

my friend hosting got the master chef achievement and i didnt. but i heard the money achievements should unlock properly. can anyone confirm or am i wasting my time if im not hosting?

I don't know for sure. All mine and my buddy's seemed to unlock at the same time or once I quit the game. We host back and forth. Maybe try picking up that product that is worth that much and see if having it go into your inventory kicks it for you.

Master Chef is unlocked by making the product yourself as far as I'm aware. If you queue the mixer and take the final product it should unlock.
