So whats the strategy for setting up properties?

I still haven't unlocked the 3rd area but I have both dealers working under me. I purchased the storage and have an herbalist. The herbalist doesn't have much to do because after I have him grow my base herb I have so many mixture combos to do until I can get a high value product.

It makes me wonder if I'm approaching the game incorrectly. I want to buy the bungalow and set up something a bit more automated but should these types of properties just grow and pack basic level herb and meth or can you kind of set up all the mixtures to be automated as well to achieve high value products?

I'd appreciate some opinions thanks.

You can play however you want.
I for instance only mix my meth, and only with one mixer. The weed I sell as normal, as it grows. I go for quentity not for quality.

like, I'm just gonna put this out there, if you're trying to get the most value out of single units, you're gonna find this game very annoying very quickly, and you won't be making more money than someone who just sells pure green crack weed.

Just grow weed, sell it for now. Yes, you should get the bungalow, but not necessarily in prevision of mixing, I'd get to barn for that, and even then, I wouldn't recommend you do more than 2 mixes.

bit of an explanation of how making money works in this game: Customers have weekly spending limits, your goal is to get as close to that spending limit you can every week. You can do that with 800$ units of coke, or with 50$ units of OG kush, just, the latter is immensely easier to produce for the same value ie: It's easier to make 16 units of ogkush than to make 1 unit of that 800$ coke.

This, ultimately, do what feels best for you.
My own preferences is 2 mix weed.
It really doesn't matter if you make high dollar stuff (that is more late game play) Make sure you are maxing out the customers cash they have to spend each day. Just sell them more basic weed and have your grower working all the time.

Customers have weekly spending limits,
Just curious why you say it's weekly? The wiki says this too but it feels like that same number is their daily spend, not weekly.
don't worry about value of the mix. The customers have a budget and will spend all of it, by buying more of your low grade product. You should be able to get every effect with just 1 - 3 mixes.

If you limit yourself to 2 ingredients, you can nearly fully automate the barn & warehouse using the loading bays to have workers unload each mix ingredient.

The mix's effects are more important. You should be aiming for effects that your customers like, rather than the overall value of the product. Have your dealers sell different effects, and assign customers based on the effects they prefer.

At this stage none of that is important. Customers from all over the map will buy from any dealer whatever you throw at them.

early in the game it doesn't matter too much, most of them are happy with whatever you throw them.
but there's picky peiople in the Docks and partciularly Suburbia and Uptown

If you make lots of different mixes, its more fun to watch and guess which drugs each NPC was smoking from various dealers :ediblemushroom:

I'm endgame with $2.5m in the bank. I've unlocked everything, all dealers, all customers and I can assure you it doesn't matter squat.

I sell one version of 8 mix Heavenly Coke, everyone buys it from all suburbs at roughly the same pace, poor, middle or rich alike. I could sell them poor marrow with 0 mix if I wanted to. They don't care.

The only time it might matter is when you're trying to get the picky customers in each suburb. After that it doesn't matter one iota.

Yes, mixing for effects etc is the fun part but it's not important.

You level up fastest if make lots of deals each day. Making less than 10 deals a day will take forever to open up new areas.
