Problem with logistic or logic.
I’m missing the logistics aspect a bit in this game—or maybe I just haven’t found it yet.
I have 5 mixing stations. I can tell the worker to carry the mixed product to one of the stations, but I can't tell him from which storage to pick up the items.
Likewise, I can't tell a worker into which storage to put something.

Somehow, automation doesn’t make much sense to me this way. Everything that gets delivered would have to be manually placed into the right storages by me as the player.
Even then, there's no guarantee which resource will be used in which mixing station.

Is there already a solution for this, or have I missed something?

chemists can't be assigned a source storage. you have to use handlers for that. each handler can do 5 routes to bring stuff from A to B. use these to resupply the mixing stations. currently you can only ensure which mixing product is used by having pure storages (only one type of ingredient).
personally i dont use mixing by chemists at all, too much hassle to constantly reorder ingredients.

Yes, that’s exactly my point.
My problem is that I have to fill the storages manually, just because I can’t define which resource should go into which storage.

Has the developer ever said anything about fixing or changing this issue?
Otherwise, this will just turn into a running simulator later on...
