What makes this game good?
Flabbergasted by the positive reviews. Just can't see the appeal or what is so special about it. What is it?

This game has a fun loop, that is great to play with friends, as there is a sillyness to it all that clashes tastefully against the 'serious' nature of drug dealing, and allows you to blend and create hundreds of different 'strains' which all give fun effects to customers etc. On top of that it's only going to continue to get more content as it goes along.

The game also gives sense of progression and allows the player to create the own working goals and or level of intensity. You can have your phone on 24/7 slinging to everyone personally, making the biggest bucks and blending the highest most potent fun strains.

Or you can just make enough to start paying others, and slowly start going into more management and light distribution.

Games that give players a fun / funny environment to play around in and have some sort of control or identity within are quite popular in general.

Best I can manage to explain I suppose, given that fun is subjective.

Business management sims are just very popular rn. And theres no mystery here: the appeal? Drugs....instead of groceries, or Hotwheels or House Flipping or 'fill in the blank'.

Its a decent cartoony atmosphere. Map is manageable, slightly small. Drug names are funny. Drug reactions are even funnier. Gameplay and progress seem to carry most players attention for a fair amount of time if accounting for the dollar value.

It checks off a lot of boxes for a good game rating. I would agree that the hype appears overkill, but a solo dev deserves a bit of promotion for making a good game in a world full of EA garbage.

The game is in early access, and even though the content is still being created, it;s really fun.

As GooseDog says, it's a business management sim with a twist, and as they add content it'll become more twisted.

The creator of the game has published a roadmap on Trello, I don't know the link, but a search'll give it to you.

Check it out, from being curious, you might become a player...did I mention, it's good fun...

it's the same loop as valheim, satisfactory, factorio and games like that, albeit fairly simple atm.
You put in effort > You get reward > You reinvest reward into better means of production > You get better reward > .....

Maybe if I put like this, you'll understand. The silliness and lightheartedness of it all makes it even more appealing, this game is a meme through and through. Like, it's a game about dealing drugs, but... It's a parody of that reality. :P
