New Lockers
Did anyone see the new lockers. I am excited about them, they make so much more sense. However I seem to be the only on that noticed that they seem to take up the same amount of space as beds. It is just my opinion, but after seeing them in the livestream they seem to take up as much space as a bed.

They are 3 squares wide and the doors have to open so that is 6 squares,. Plus you probably will need clearance for your character to stand, so that is another three square, which would take up the same space as the beds. You could probably put them so the are facing each other which would make it so that get two take up 6 squares. So in that setup they would take up less space.

Am i the only one that noticed this. Again I am excited about them still, because it makes more sense than beds. I just think they will take up practically the same amount of space.

The lockers were not in the game engine when I saw them. They were just on blender and they had the squares under them to show the size. The doors might not have collisions. And they did not open all the way so they would not hit anything that is next to them.
aaah ok, that makes sense. based on other design choices, i think it's likely that the doors won't have collision, though obviously grain of salt and all.

It's a work in progress, he probably hadn't gotten around to the technical side of the lockers quite yet.

i haven't watched any dev streams or videos on the updates, have you seen if the doors have collision or if they actually add to the grid (i.e., can't place something next to it with doors open/to prevent doors from being unable to be opened)?
