Performance issues

I tried demo and ran fine, then i bought the full game and i was lagging like crazy, turns out putting my resolution on windows screen to the same thing in game fixed my issue. I am running with an onboard graphics card so that could be the reason why.

is vsync on? that causes issues with me, personally, and a couple others.
there are optimzation issues, like workers with no tasks they can do tend to slow stuff (especially botanists? no proof, just lots of other ppl saying that), but that tends to be late game.
trash also can make lag, and you can clear it by typing "cleartrash" in the console.
