game save no longer playable :'(

I have been playing a saved game on my account with my bf until today when I went to play by myself it's titled "unknown" and shows net worth "$0" and when I start it up I'm launched in as my bf's character and inventory. Even when he joins me we both launch in the game as his character with his inventory items and I can't access my owned property. I've redownloaded the game, restarted my computer, etc with no luck- anyone have a fix for this? rip to all my progress :'(

Something similar happened to my bf and me too. One day all his cash and deposited money disappeared when he logged on and then a few days later he was stuck in an infinite loading loop and now our save is corrupted. You can edit the save files or do console commands to get the money and items back.

Also if you find the save is corrupted / too glitchy you can just start a new one. It sucks to lose progress and product but this is another option and not all is completely lost. You can enable console commands (Host only) and spawn items, give XP and give money. This is found in the settings option. We had to start over entirely and do this because our save was not working no matter what we did. Good luck:)
