Packer will not work?
''I need one of my assigned stations to have enough product and packaging to get to work''
I have tried knocking them, saving and leaving and refreshing steam. Nothing seems to work other than firing and rehiring but I can't keep doing that after they package a few jars of weed.
Does anyone have a fix? I have followed all videos and nothing seems to help.

do you have them set to restock the jars from a shelf to the machine?

yeah my first route for him is to go to the large storage rack which has my jars on and to the packing station

I've never had any issues with packers.
You have to have 2 shelves, one with jars or baggies and 1 with product.
You assign both shelves to the handler with the packing station as the destination.
You need 1 more shelf, you set it as the destination FROM the packing station.

The handler will be assigned to the packing station and have the 2 routes. Make sure he has money in his briefcase.
You need 3 shelves. One for product you want packaged, one for either jars or bags and another for the finished product to go. Assign 2 routes. one from product to packager, and another from bag/jar to packager.

Then when thats done, interact with the packager with the clipboard and from there assign where you want them to put said product.

If none of what the last guy said worked see if saving and reloading makes him start working again. If it does pick up the machine and place it in a slightly different spot this worked for one of my stations packers broke.

Also they wont work after 4AM at all until the next morning.

My handlers first route is from the shelf with jars and then to the packing station, his second route is from the shelf my botanist puts the weed and then to the packing station, I have the packing station set to a separate shelf in the corner

Ok now this question needs to be asked... did you ASSIGN the handler to the station? The five available routes you can list AREN'T the same thing as assigning the handler to the station.

Yup. Assigned stations 1/3, Packing station MkII.

And I can't even send an in-game report as some dev code pops up when I try to submit it.

Update: the packer is retrieving the jars of weed once they are packaged in the packing station but he isn't doing his routes

Ok, you DO have an assigned route directly from the station itself, NOT the Handler, the station itself needs a route that the Handler uses.

Yes, as said before I have it assigned to a separate shelf in the corner. I know it's set up correctly because it worked previously for 5+ hours irl time.

That's NOT what I asked, go to the station and see if it has an assigned designation with the clipboard, THAT'S the route the Handler uses, not any of the five available routes you can give them, those are used for moving things around like the examples with putting packaging and product ON the station.
Step 1 have 3 empty shelves.
Step 2 stock one shelf with jars/baggies.
Step 3 stock another empty shelf with product to be packed
Step 4 assign the handler to the packing machine
Step 5 make a route from the shelf with the jars/baggies to the packing machine
Step 6. make a route from the shelf with product to the packing machine
Step 7 make a route from the packing machine to an empty shelf where you want the finished product to be
Step 8 Profit.

Got it sorted, it was because I had my botanist kept putting two different strains on the same shelf
