WARNING: Steam cloud can corrupt your save
So, i just had an issue with steam cloud merging the latest version of my save with one that it had on file.

TLDR disable cloud saves.

How it does this has to do with how the game saves your progress. Every shelf, every station, every employee, each has a different json file controlling it. If you fire an employee, replace an object, etc, the game deletes the relevant data from the save. Steam, being the happy little helper that it is, see's the missing files and restores them for you, as if loading up your save for the first time on a new pc. This returns anything you have removed from the game to the world, even if you placed new things down where they were.

Thankfully, because of the individual nature of these files, simply sorting by 'date modified' in your file explorer and going through the entire folder structure of the save will allow you to delete anything with the timestamp that steam last sync'd with the cloud. So, it seems my save is mostly salvageable, at least.

But, let this be a warning to all users who need it, and a message to the dev that this is possible.

Yea, I reported a dupe issue for this. I was on my laptop playing, did a cloud save. then later went to my PC and the cloud save duplicated all the items that I had moved and put them back at the original places I had them and overlapped others. I ended up with more bookshelves and another packing station. I am also assuming because of this, it caused the game to have issues with my handler and the packaging station. I now have floating product or baggies coming out of the station randomly.
