The game fell off hard.
Player count has fallen by more than 70% in a matter of weeks. Just another flavor of the month.

An incomplete game with ~40 hours of content, having been on sale for longer than 40 hours is going to see a drop. Who knew...

PSA: Do not give out awards for this. It's a tired, stale clown farming trope. Give them to me instead.

Well in the end its the copies sold that really matters. Idk why some people are obsessed with counting player count as if you need validation to play the game from it.
Still pulling player numbers better than and competing with baulders gate and apex

even if it "fell off hard", THE GAME IS STILL PEAK!!

Exactly. Both of which dropped off for the exact same reason I mentioned above. Something every game does and always has.

This has become a trope now, more akin to clown farming than any attempt at a genuine conversation.

Homie you literally played it for 30 minutes in the last 2 weeks.

No one cares.

Every game falls off a huge amount in a matter of weeks. ANY game does that and it's really stupid you just posted stuff without checking to see if it's a normal trend.
MH Wilds was at 550k active 1 month ago and now it's at 140k. Go ahead, search ANY new release on Steam DB and you'll see a dropoff of 60-80% after about a month is common
Do you know why? Because there's only so much you can do. This isn't an massive extraction shooter or a game with near infinite creation like Minecraft.

EDIT: Oh and btw, over 4 million copies sold at $17-20 per. Even if Steam took 50%, the Dev made $40 Million in sales. Hell we're lucky they didn't take the money and do nothing for a year like the Valheim Devs did.

Explain to all of us how a single player game or coop multiplayer game with finite content would keep 300+k concurrent players for months.

Enlighten us, master.

♥♥♥♥, depending on the time of day, I still see it reach 170K-200K
People are just obviously try hard when it comes to whining.

Welcome to gaming. If you stay here a while, you'll realize that every single game ever released, on any platform, for any price, at any time, has had a period of hype at release, and then tapered off. This is especially unpredictable for early access games.

That's not correct. The Valheim devs bought themselves a company pony in the first year !

40 hours is being ridiculously generous. There's about 10-15 hours of actually solid gameplay before the lack of content causes quality to drop off a massive cliff. I say this as someone who has replayed the game 4 times, once you are wealthy enough to get the barn everything fun about the game very quickly deteriorates. The early game is the only good content.

What a stupid thing to argue over. If you want the achieves it's more than 10 or 15.

And you have 70 hours :steamfacepalm:

While i am still playing a bit. One of my games are going through a event and focus on that more, and on top of that, there a lot of promising update being tease, and as they release, people will return.
I am also aware, most likely the post just made for rage bait, heh

I hate allowing children unregulated access to internet purchases, communities, and conversations.

Raise your kids to contribute something meaningful.
