Something like that happened to me recently: I had 5 coca plants which should have resulted in 3 stacks of leaves (5x12) and the botanic somehow turned those into 49 (11 missing) after harvesting...
Gonna keep an eye on him, if something's missing with the next harvest as well I might also take him behind the barn.

I had a handler wipe out like 4-5 shelves. His inventory was completely full so I think he would trigger to move something, pick up a stack, because inventory was full i think the item was deleted, then trigger to pick up another one repeat till the shelf is empty. I think this happens more often when I'm trying to "help" and speed up the process or maybe if you have two handlers pulling from the same shelf. I check all my employees every ~3 days to make sure this doesn't happen again. I will say I was confused at first because I checked 2 of my 3 handlers including the one I thought was taking stuff and their inventory was empty but it was the 3rd that was messed up. I know you said you checked inventory so this might not be your issue, but might be worth reloading and checking all employees.

as much as I know I should be using them, I haven't bothered with hiring workers because of how often I see people talking about stuff like this lol. it's easy enough to mass produce stuff yourself while your dealers are selling anyways

this same thing was happening to me. I did see that there was a possible update coming to fix this. I hope so because having a production line is so nice. I just have to pick up finished product and focus on expanding.

i saw a worker harvest 8 plants and then have nothing to show for it, there was no bud in his inventory or the shelves that i assigned
