What we also don't know at this early stage is whether all NPC will also be subject to curfew and it is simply not added yet. Perhaps our dealers will get caught and lose their stash, who knows?
Nah.
I don't mind the curfew system. When you know the back roads, it's easy enough to avoid the cops.
It'd be better if they did cop things. When I started playing I obsessively closed the door to the motel because I didn't want cops seeing my grow tents.
Instead they'll walk right by them and see nothing, but if you're out after 6pm, then it's open season.
Hopefully as development progresses the curfew is scaled back to midnight and the cops do more cop related stuff, like raiding buildings. Raids could come with a 1 day warning by hiring either a criminal lawyer or paying off a cop. If you have cops paid off, throwing a tarp over things (Amount of pay = quantity of tarps available) will make them 'invisible' to police during a raid. Would make cleaners worth having too, as they'd be removing evidence which serves no purpose other than to slow your PC down currently.
I'm in agreement with this. Needs to be more cops out after dark, and they need to be more active.
Also agree that the curfew should count for NPCs too, and not just the player. I'm not sure if it's really possible, though. It would mean having to make an AI for NPCs that is smart enough to try and be sneaky and avoid police after dark.
They sometimes have trouble now as it is.
I feel like it should. Idk
When a police car arrives, there should be at least 2 cops there, not 1. When a police VAN comes, there should be 3+ cops... NOT 1 every time LOL
It's a neat idea though. Using the drug effects to change your appearance to avoid attention. Likely never happen. But if there's ever story beats where ya have to play as Uncle Nelson or someone with a fixed appearance instead of the player's customization at work, would love to see it.
curfew is perfect like it is, you trade a little more risk for a little more profit when dealing at night, if they removed curfew, curfew bonus would go too, I'd make less money.
1. Lack of curfew inspection (No inspecting in the Docks, Up Town and Suburbia)
2. Not that difficult after 100+ days (it should ramp up difficulty/tenacity every 50 days)
3. NPC dealers/citizens can still roam outside during curfew and not get cuffed.
Let's wait for the coming months, excited for May and June updates.
Tyler could really go deep with it also. For example you could buy a police scanner and dealers can only deal after curfew by txn you and saying ‘I have deal to make, which route should I take’, you pull out scanner and draw them a path.
