Could even make it so that there are new effects that make characters use different movement actions more often.
"Hedgehog Wild" - Character will roll everywhere.
"Jazzy" - Character will slide all over the place
"FOV" - Character constantly leans to one side or the other.
The same could be said about having a skateboard. The game is in Early Access; let people make suggestions.
The game essentially has a version of this already with the funny hl2 type source 1 physics. Combine this with the granddaddy purp + energy drink + paracetamol I think, and you'll have anti-gravity, sneak, and another skill that makes traversal when dealing even easier just on foot.
I do all my deals with using the wonky physics that....definitely will be left in the game, I mean...valve knew to keep it in half-life 2, lol.
If you want a ridiculous way to launch yourself forwards, start bhopping a bit at full speed, then do a 180, and then jump once right afterward and do another 180, it will actually increase your forward momentum in the next jump. Kind of like backwards long jump in Super Mario 64, but, kind of a very powerful way to abuse the way bunnyhopping works in games
Also, any time you want to basically launch yourself like a cannon you can just put three physics objects right next to each other and have one of those physics objects clipping into the other, then grab the last one that should be right next to them and quickly jump and mash E repeatedly whilst on top of the last object staring down at it
For now, it is incredibly enjoyable to traverse around this way. There is also the ability to launch yourself quite far--feels like a way to do a "long jump" by jumping and then hitting the side of a building or wall just perfectly when you are ascending on the jump. Also when hitting weird clipping edges of say, both sides of a fence but also the top of the fence.
Try it out :)
It would be cool if Tyler got a dollar for every time someone suggested something without looking at the roadmap.
I mean I'm also kind of just wanting it to be a surprise, so I'm going to continue to be ignorant and hope the dollars I already put towards the game and dev go to good use despite redundant advice
