Game getting repetitive?

I'm playing the game with a friend and we just got the mixing thing, the game felt really good at first but now is getting a bit repetitive, any tips on what to do to keep it interesting?

start looking into mods. There is no end game yet.

I am hoping for some tools to be created to allow friends to play against each other.
- higher player cap
- mandatory Autosleep at 4:20am
- separate bank balances
- limited time property rental
- lockable storage
- picky customers that wont buy things without their preferred traits.
