Change Cuke back NOW!
I can't be the only one who thinks the new orange Cuke is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ disgusting and needs to go, right? I thought I was tripping until I saw a mod on NexusMods that restores Cuke to its original CORRECT red color.

If Tyler is going to change the color to avoid trademark issues with Coke, it has to be something other than orange or purple. Both of those are claimed by orange and grape soda. In my opinion at least.

What does this have to do with copyright? or anything really?
bro has never heard of "product association" or anything about coke's past

There's a mod that restores the original cuke.

It's sad. That's all to it.
It's like saying. "Oh in that game they mix it with that and that. We shouldn't drink cola"

Let's start boycotting coca cola because of this :)

Have you considered that those games might have the explicit permission to use the branding ? Coca cola is pretty well known for doing product placement.
Have you also considered that it's probably better to not tempt fate when we're talking about coca cola ? Maybe Rockstar and such can afford these risks/licenses, maybe tyler cannot. :P

Also like, it's not about color here, it's about "Can this red can be reasonably identified as/miscontrued for coca-cola by a random observer", the answer to this is "yes" regarding the cuke cans. Doesn't matter how you feel about it, it's about how courts will feel about it if there is litigation.

That is IF you look at it from the corner of your eye.
Still it's sad. Pretty lame just for a color and being a can. So what. There are more red cans in life then just cola.

This right here sums it up. It might be okay to have red soda cans. It's definitely ok to have a game mechanic where you mix soda with drugs. However, mixing a red soda with nearly the same shade as the real counterpart with illegal substances might draw a connection that people with lawyers and money might not like (however faint that connection might actually be). Nintendo set a very bad precedent.

so you got nothing better to do then to complain about a digital can of digital soda being orange instead of red which it was before wow really wondering where your life has gone wrong xD

Ad-Hominem (Attacking the person): This fallacy occurs when, instead of addressing someone's argument or position, you irrelevantly attack the person or some aspect of the person who is making the argument. The fallacious attack can also be direct to membership in a group or institution.

I care for Tyler's health, his mental health, and I care for the prolonged survival and development of a product I invested in. Who are you to me ? You don't even know me, you never provided me any kind of service or value, and you're telling me I should put my investment at risk and push someone into potential legal troubles for the color of a soda can in a video game. If you want me to defend your interests/positions when I don't align with them, maybe bring some value to me, and maybe try not to push for things that might harm another human being ?

Hes already got the publishers of DDS looking at him. I can understand wanting to make changes to avoid any further issues. Nothing wrong here.

I'll bet it is the name "Cuke" not the color.
I can have nikes in second life, but I am not allowed to sell them as N1ike, or Naaik. I can sell them named different though. Same thing.

I actually see the nike branding massacred on Second Life, though nike did sell official products there for a while. Now all brands moved out of it. :P

Then start by naming them different. Like "Soda" would be enough.

No they still are in there. Only named different. Totally different.
But the looks of it are still there.
They did that because of googling on second life products while searching for coca cola. That what it was all about. Not the looks. just the name,
