Game crashing when I save/sleep

I have started to encounter an issue where the game is crashing every time i sleep or try save the game, it wasn't doing it when i first started playing and am at the hoodlum level area. it also seems to be semi keeping my progress, for example the mission it is task the uncle has set me is for the mixing station which is where i was but after the crash Benji no longer works for me and all my growing/packaging progress has gone back to my last save point before the crash. anyone have any clue on if I can fix the issue or how to stop it happening again if i start a new save?
