Multiplayer bug

I am the main host of a save a play with a friend quiet often. Before the patch we ran into an issue where he was not able to load into the game and when he did, the employees and other things did not work properly. We tried everything and ultimately it wasn't until after picking up a bugged mixer it started working again.

I thought the patch would fix this, but recently I made a ton of changes to multiple buildings while he was not logged in and then when he attempted to join me again and while he can join the game, everything was bugged (namely employees).

I don't want to go through taking down and setting everything back up again just to find the bugged equipment/employee... do you have any other recommendations? Swapping the files as I've seen in other threads has not worked either.
