i have pretty much zero involvement in distribution at all
Not sure how far a long your are but whats your daily XP gain from just using dealers?
I'm taking the opposite approach this go. I'm not using dealers at all. At first I have to run around and find people to unlock others but once im set up i'm really just selling to people I see walking around while im on the way to places.
If i need to sell more i'll just go knock on doors at 4am. They will answer and will still buy hahaha
so it aint rapid game play i guess... but i dont feel stressed, and i just have to top up minimal supplies every day of which i know what each location uses and i just order deliveries for that amount to each location
collect cash n seeds, then afk it in the bungalow until bedtime whilst production happens
This is exactly what I do. When I don't have products listed for sale, I'm spending that time restocking my dealers and making more product. Once I'm caught up, I make product for myself and sell it all and do it all over again. Makes the game last longer for me.
I agree on the money part but disagree about the XP. Its for sure slower to start out without the phone and they for sure pay less on the street but I "think" i'm getting more XP this way than I did taking orders.
Mixing it up is probably the BEST way but once I had a bunch of customers unlocked everyone you see walking around is a potential sale. Then you can just go door to door at night. The downside is early when your rep isnt high and you dont have what they like they can decline.
Before I restarted money didnt matter anymore so I turned off my dealers, had max rep for the area and started doing this and it seemed I could sell pretty much any type of weed to anyone. With max rep and specialized strains I could either jack the price way up or sell twice as much as they would normally ask for.
Thats when I started naming strains after customers and everyone had their own tailored strain just for them. oh and xp is based off of per sale, not volume or price which is why I disagree on the more XP part. More total sales = more xp.
the way i see rank n cash is it will trickle inward over time anyway, and my real enjoyment is setting up the locations and watching them trying to figure out how to change it a tad so it produces faster until i think it cant be done any better.
today for example i just switched to bricks so i have pretty much done nothing but turn a crap load of inventory into bricks from jars. just got a hotel full of racking and weed left to sort out and then i will change dealers over to blocks only
see how that goes....
i use to play first person shooters when i started gaming
wont touch em now mostly speaking.
these days, i like to have a beer, watch a movie, youtube, and get up from the desk whilst my games run etc. cant remember what my rank is called i know when i rank up again i unlock the second to last area
what ever that rank is called :)
I actually turned the phone off and dont use dealers for the same reason. Grow when I want, sell when I want. No pressure to do anything. Money and XP becomes meaningless soon enough.
Alternatively, I'll take a reworked product and contact UI - I avoid using the phone because those interfaces are so annoying, especially the product manager.
What I'm doing is, keeping the Uptown customers to myself (high budget and close to my barn), assign anyone else to dealers. I focus on only 2 types of products, 1 weed and 1 meth, coke is occasionally, both are high profit but not too complicated to mix. I threw all the weed bricks to dealers and sell the meth and coke through phone. This approach is generating 25k to 30k cash everyday. I did this all myself cuz didn't hire anyone, I think that system is not well developed and will bring a huge mess.
Once you get everything set up, it's not *too* bad - but I agree it definitely needs a lot of work.
The biggest problem with the automation at the moment, at least to me, is there's no way to automate restocking, you're constantly ordering deliveries and/or making runs to the gas station.
100% agree. You get higher profits using the phone PER transaction.
What i'm noticing right now though is I get a whole lot more sales per day by just running around selling to people. I think selling is broken at 4am also. You can just go around at 4am and knock on peoples door and sell directly. This is after you have sold to them in the day. When they go back inside you can just knock again and they will come back out and buy again.
I think they only stop once they have spent their daily limit. Just sold to Peter 3 times in a row and several others. This was my first real day of selling. I HAD to give Benji 3 customers for the mission but took them away as soon as it was complete.
Half the day was giving out samples, starting 8 more plants then just running around selling so this isnt even that great but on day 5 i've got the meth lady unlocked, a few hundred xp from unlocking the warehouse and im still on the mixing table mission.
I ran out of weed this day but with full day of selling good stuff its easily 2K XP a day which is way more than one run doing dealers and one run no dealers and me filling orders.
