Handlers are clunky, inefficient and generally useless
So I got a botanist and was surprised by the output I got. I figured a handler would be a great idea to automate, but the guy packs maybe around 6 stacks of baggies a day and that's just not enough. That's kinda pathetic.

What are everyone else's experiences with those guys? Do you just use multiple handlers per botanist?

What I usually do is limit production to bricks and then split them into 20 units which I then manually place into baggies. The finaly coke/weed is directly placed into the brick press by the chemist/botanist which then the handler presses into pricks and puts into a shelf. I don't really bother with handlers making baggies or jars in the packing stations because it would be just too much hassle to set up all the added supply lines of storage racks -> packing stations and vice versa

Found your inefficient and generally useless problem. Stop using baggies, switch to jars until you unlock the brick press.
Too many inconsistencies with workers in general to the point that I don't enjoy the game anymore. The moment you move into heavy automation this game turns into nightmare.
Either you don't know what you are doing, or you are just being over-dramatic, because handlers are far from "useless."

Talked to a friend and yes, it may be time for brick presses. I'll still need baggies for when I'm dealing with customers personally tho, but I guess I can manage.
All the workers are a lot slower than you and that is how it should be. They are able to do work along side you after all. If you are still in the sweatshop and maybe the bungalow they don't seem great but the Barn and Warehouse are huge. You can easily expand your production and doing it all yourself becomes absolutely daunting.

As for handlers. They do kinda suck at packing but keeping shelves stocked they are completely solid keeping things topped up easily. Also they can pack while I am doing other things. They can pack while I also pack. Its worth it all the way down. Just don't expect them to fully take over for you on your lone production line.
