-I do not know if deleting it also solves the problem; because once you edit "inventory.json" the game removes it completely, I didn't recommend deleting it because it might need it to do a final read before nuking it.
or fire and rehire them.
the reason they're stealing is, their invisible inventory is full.
they can't put it down, since it's a 1 sided wiring.
I will have to check it out. I have fired and hired countless times.
There is not an inventory.json in there.
hello! try making a new one; like making your own inventory.json
and see if it fixes it.
otherwise, you'd need to rehire a new one, let it work for a few days until it get stuck again. then fiddle with the inventory.
All joking aside, the next update will allow players to access the employees inventory since they sometimes keep stuff.
They like to clear the shelve they are taking from. Super annoying since I am using the restock mod. So when they clear it they will start buying more and keep taking what they bought. I punched one of the handlers that were doing it to stop it. He then got up, looked at me and went to a different shelve and stole the only jar of weed and walked out of the barn. LOL I think he needed the machete instead of the bat...
I actually hope that whether it was previously intended or not the developer decides to make employee theft a thing that we actually need to worry about and combat. I think it'd be a cool feature if we could search employees at the end of shift, or employ some kind of security eventually which would do it for us and then be able to punish them for it, etc.
Certainly once the game moves away from having the player constantly ordering and stocking ingredients this would be a cool gameplay feature.
Pay them more? Break their legs?
This kind of stuff could get pretty dark. On second thought, maybe too dark for a game like this.
That was actually fixed in a recent patch for the beta version. Should be live soon.
Edit: It's already live. Sorry, didn't notice.
