Does this forum have moderators?

I am active on a lot of other forums and the moderators are active, they lock unconstructive troll based threads, they ban people for breaking rules and I see all those things happening here and yet nothing gets moderated.

Just curious if anyone has seen any attempt by anyone to keep this forum clean and constructive or is it just a replacement for 4chan while its offline? :)

There are mods but they only intervene occasionally. They locked a thread yesterday.

Forums are moderated mostly by the Developers.... but if the developers don't choose moderators or moderate it themselves then the entire game forum relies on Steam/Valve moderators to do everything and I'm guessing they have very few people to do this job (for ALL games), and those few people likely have a very, very lenient policy.... which is probably why we're seeing so much racism here and all the other stuff which clearly should have been moderated. lol

Edit 1: And I forgot to say, since the Dev is very small, I very highly doubt they have anyone bothering with moderating this forum, atm.

Edit 2: Just FYI, yes there have been a few bans and lots of deleted posts and stuff. It's just not very often and not that much. But no, you can't just do or say anything you want here. The worst stuff is deleted somewhat fast.

true I dont think its a HUGE deal, but maybe at some point he will find a couple of responsible forum members and put em to work :)

Probably, yeah.

I'm guessing he's still in over his head with the game suddenly blowing up and is probably still wading through lots of financial stuff, atm. It will probably be a while before he has a solid team of people to do things like PR, which would probably be the position to choose moderators.

dev is a university student whos fun hobbie has just blown up in the dudes face im sure there are a millions of things he hadnt thought of
but if you need help ignoring a troll why not get a personal moderator for life

I like to block all the people that post begging for the game, complaining about achievements being racist it really did clean the forums up for me

At what point did I say anything about needing help ignoring trolls?

Whats with the hostile attitude? I asked a simple question that was already answered by someone that didnt bring the attitude.

Yea this blew up so fast, I did some basic math and its ridiculous the money that came in within a weeks time. I would love to see a documentary of this guys life leading up to this and afterwards haha

Assuming he listed this as a sole trader, the bottom end of the lowest estimate on steamDB after revenue share and income tax is 10.74M USD in the clear.

No this forum has -zero- mods so far. Valve employees are being forced to moderate and only step in during reports or extremes.
