Save files combining?
Hey all, me and my partner have been playing the same server since Saturday. Everything has been going just fine since then, last night we were starting to really make a ton of money and ended our night with purchasing the Laundromat and our bank account had 28k in it along with my pockets had 10k in them. We just launched and now we have 4k in our bank, my 10k in my pocket is gone and all of our product that we made is gone, the placement of all our furniture (storage, mixing stations, etc) are all back to the way they were before we started playing last night. The clothes I bought also disappeared but the laundromat we bought and started laundering money was still in progress. So it only saved like less than half of what we did last night. Any ideas how to fix? We've tried resetting the game and steam, validating files, tried just playing to see if it would fix itself and still nothing.

Make sure it's the same person hosting each time, as the save file is stored for that person only. Other than that I'm not too sure.

Could have been an issue of not saving if you were expecting the game to autosave, or if you quit before the game finished saving. You can tell when the game is saving by the rotating dollar icon in the top-right of the screen, and the little boxes at each property that has a white light on it. (The light will turn green when the game successfully saves.)

It also could have been a steam cloud save sync issue, but I wouldn't consider that likely.
thats why its called early access. ♥♥♥♥ happens.
we got items from a save on a complete fresh save same host and everything

It is that's the weird thing, and we also always wait to make sure its fully saved before quitting. RIP I guess till an update comes out

Yeah, but this post is purely to see if anyone else has had this issue and if so how to fix nothing more. But if anything a future update will fix this so no worries.
Yes, my wife had something similar happen. It had nothing to do with her not saving. She lost hours of work, and now she seems to have two versions of her progress running together.

I've experienced this a few time, it does seem to be an issue with save files merging/not syncing from my perspective. steam cloud and local save maybe?

upon switching to the previous played PC, i would load game and notice progress hadn't saved. verifying integrity didn't bring back progress neither did syncing with steam cloud... i booted up the other PC and seen progress had indeed been saved.
After confirming, i waited to save again to upload "new" data to steam cloud. After it was done i had returned to the current PC (with lost progress) and attempted to sync and overwrite the old with the new. This didn't work.
i uninstalled schedule 1 and reinstalled via -network transfer- (from the PC with the "new save") and progress was returned however previous progress was also kept.. so lots of duplication.

p.s. i should add, my brother had the same issue i did... i discovered that maybe we both had overwritten our steam cloud "new" data with local saves "old"....we both played on multiple pc's...but i was able to save both our progress.

hope this helps!
We didn't use cloud saves :) just the stuff on pallets carried over

Same happened to me tonight. I’ve got a previous setup on top of my current one with grow boxes in the same spot as the suspension growers and over my mixer as well as multiple storage shelves in the same spot. Any way to fix it?

Also I’ve got messages coming in for a stain that doesn’t show up in my products?

Anyway you could tell me in dump person terms how you got it fixed? I’m having the same issue. I work in the road so I play on my laptop but at home I play on my desktop

-In short - you would have to check your current save is "okay" before changing devices.
Then you would have to remove schedule 1 from the pc/laptop you are going to play on.

- From your PC with the save file you are keeping or is "good", make sure it is uploaded to the steam cloud
- then reinstall schedule 1 on the pc/laptop you are going to play on

if it worked, you should have everything from your old and new save (furniture, equipment etc) will be merged into your new/current ...
-you may have a lot of clutter to deal with-

This has been working for me every time, and am still applying the method.

CAUTION - back up your file always!

apologies if this "fix" has been difficult to follow
